The Cheese Boutique Food Truck is hosting different Toronto chefs every weekend from now until August. So far,  they’ve hosted Le Swan French Diner, Antler Kitchen Bar, Kitchen Guerrilla and more. Follow them on Instagram to be updated on future chef takeovers! 

dabble by TasteToronto

TasteToronto is offering limited edition creations from top restaurants and chefs through a new platform called dabble. They began with burger boxes from Burger Drops and then pivoted to limited-edition flavours of Gertie’s Pies. You can order the creations here. They change every two weeks!

Head to the Bentway for Toronto Art Crawl’s 6th annual holiday market. This one-day only event is featuring 70+ Toronto artisans and artists!

After five years of completely sold-out Séances, The Eatonville Farmouse Séance is back for another chilling experience.

Per the website: “Experience undeniable fear in an authentic Victorian Séance at one of Toronto’s last remaining Victorian era farmhouses. This soul-shaking psychological experience is not intended for the weak or faint of heart. Restricted to ages 18+. The Séance runs from October to November 2021.”

Always wondered what it would be like to roller skate? Now’s your chance! RetroRolla is renting four-wheel roller skates out of a shipping container at The Bentway. You can check out the Fort York neighbourhood on wheels. So go on, head out on a skate date!

Brought to you by Pastiche, Nomad will be serving cocktails, boozy freezies & muffuletta sandwiches out of a 70s minivan. There is no permanent location planned, so you will have to keep your eye out throughout downtown and on their Instagram stories (they often share the location a day prior). You can also pre-order online and they will let you know where to pick up your purchase. PS – last summer I got to enjoy a couple of freezies from Pastiche, and they were devine!

Two former Buca employees launched homemade pasta business, Back to the Pasta. New menus launch weekly & ordering needs to be placed by Wednesday at Midnight for pickup on Fridays (between 4:30 – 6:30 at Danforth & Chester) or delivery (Thursday & Friday between 3-6PM). Menus currently drop every Thursday and sell out quickly. Be sure to follow them on Instagram to make sure you don’t miss out!

This pizza pop-up hailing out of the Junction is offering delicious deep-dish pies (cheese, pepperoni or half and half). You can also get their homemade hot honey as a topping or on the side. Weekly drops that sell out quickly – order online (linked via their Instagram account) with pickup in time slots every Saturday. You don’t want to miss this! 

Pop by this new Midtown food truck for your fix on burgers (regular patty, cheeseburger, veggie, chicken) and donuts! Highly recommend the spicy chicken burger and the cheeseburger. Located at Yonge and Roselawn. Website & Instagram.

Sunny’s Chinese offers different regional Chinese takeout with each pop-up. Sign up for their newsletter to be in the loop on their next drop – they sell out quickly! Order here.

Dublin Calling has paired up with BoardGames2Go and is offering a $40 kit of make-at-home nachos, pretzel bites and a $15 credit to rent a board game. The Depanneur is a unique food venue that hosts a variety of events, and supports up-and-coming and home chefs. Currently, they’re offering pick-up dinners on Wednesdays and Fridays where each week, a different chef prepares a prix-fixe dinner for 2 or 4 people.

Each Thursday, Kensington Brewery teams up with QE Trivia to offer virtual trivia. Note: you can buy a ticket for the trivia on it’s own here (note: this links to the Jan 21st event – simply search QE Trivia on Eventbrite if you are looking for another date). Alternatively, follow the instructions on the same page to purchase beer from Kensington Brewery and get access to the trivia for free!

The Pairing Club is based out of Toronto and they run virtual events featuring local beer and cheese pairings. Events sell out quickly, so be sure to follow them on Instagram to get the latest details and secure a slot when the next date opens up!

Eating Through Toronto offers a number of virtual events, including cocktail workshops, coffee tasting, chocolate tasting and local craft beer tasting. Events run between 45-60 minutes and require a 6 person minimum (if you don’t have a group to sign up with, check their main event page for upcoming group events). They will also ship the associated products to you ahead of the class.

Join Toronto Common for one of their many virtual events. They partner with businesses to make fun, unique experiences. Founded in December 2013, they’ve hosted over 500 events to date. Past and upcoming workshops include virtual wine tastings, spa nights, whisky tasting, digital book clubs and more.

Rolling Hops has gone virtual, offering curated beer tours for you and your friends. Contact them for a private tour and they’ll organize everything, including getting beer to your pals. While this is not a Canadian company (it’s for the US), it is one of the best price-points I’ve found for a private virtual class if you want several people to be able to dial in separately. We did a virtual class for my mom’s birthday with 4 different houses dialing in, and I enjoyed it so much that I scheduled another class with my girlfriends (5-6 screens will be dialing in). The class library is huge, and you’ll get live instruction from a chef. Note that you have to purchase your own ingredients based off a provided list. Book here.

Le Dolci is offering a variety of classes – from learning the ins and outs of making pies, macarons, cinnamon buns, cakes and more. Most classes require you to purchase your own ingredients ahead of time, but some offer the ability to have ingredients delivered to you (it is denoted in the class titles).

Other
